What are we doing in Room 3?

Reading: Character Studies

Read alouds- Because of Winn Dixie, Dyamnode Daniel

Word Study: Spelling City word work- Each student will have an individual list to learn and work on. Students will take a pre-test on...  All assignments will need to be completed before the final test. Sound patterns and vocabulary are included in the spelling program.

Writing: Literary Essays- Writing about literacy

              Writing personal narratives for homework

Read Aloud- 

Math: Geometry- Area

          Continue working on learning multiplication facts at home-Multiplication and Division with the units of 2-5 and 10

Science:  Ultimate Playground- study of forces and motion

Social Studies: Growth mindset, Classroom behaviors, Social Comprehension & diversity, Digital Citizenship, Black History Month

Art: Our curriculum for the year is based on the Elements of Design: Line, shape, color, space, form, texture and value. Students will also be introduced to “the art Masters.”
